Following through on the primary recommendation from the Mayor’s Task Force, the city is expanding its green building requirements so they apply to the private sector.

All project types will be required to achieve green building certification, and standards were identified for each building type. The program will be phased in over five years.

The report details implementation strategies; possible incentives; estimated cumulative benefits over five years; and, strategic management recommendations such as staffing, budget requirements, timeline and process improvements.
