Glasgow: New idea for harnessing solar energy

Scottish firm ZM Architecture has submitted a plan to Glasgow’s city council to float large circular solar panels on the surface of Glasgow’s Clyde River. The plan could not only reduce Glasgow’s dependence on outside energy sources, but also revitalize the city’s riverfront. The design has won the prestigious International Design Awards Land and Sea Competition.
