San Francisco Solar Energy Incentive Pilot Program
The program—the largest of its kind in the country—will provide rebates to home and business owners who install PV on buildings

San Francisco’s new one-year pilot program, approved in June 2008, is the largest municipal solar program in the United States. A fund of $3 million will provide rebates to home and business owners who install solar panels on their buildings. Individuals can receive up to $6,000, while businesses can qualify for up to $10,000. A $1.5 million fund was also created to fund PV installations at nonprofit-owned buildings and low-income housing.
