Each sub-section includes a discussion of the main types of actions you can take. 

Neighbourhood Characteristics focus primarily on physical features of green neighborhoods and include:

• Location and Linkage – location in the municipality and links by bicycle and transit
• Neighborhood Design – compact, mixed use; pedestrian design, parking optimization, and decreased transportation demand
• Green Features – green networks, and green buildings and infrastructure

Policy Levers focus on ways municipalities can promote  neighborhoods with these desirable characteristics.  They include:
