The City of Las Vegas is developing Union Park, a 61-acre mixed-use community located downtown on a city-owned former brownfield site. The $6 billion, 11 million square-feet project will be a walkable community featuring urban-style residences, the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute and other medical facilities, a two-acre outdoor core (Symphony Park), The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, offices, The Charlie Palmer boutique hotel, a casino/hotel, and the World Jewelry Center. The development will also seek LEED Gold certification.
