The Sierra Club has more than 1.3 million members and supporters.  Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet.  The Sierra Club's Cool Cities campaign is the group's major grassroots effort on the Club's top conservation priority:  Solving Global Warming with Smart Energy Solutions.  The Cool Cities campaign supports and encourages local communities that are making a commitment to reduce global warming pollution, energy waste and costs.  All across the nation, Sierra Club activists are partnering with community groups and working with local officials to implement clean energy solutions, including energy efficiency, cleaner vehicles, renewable power, smart growth land use planning and public transportation.  For more information, click here.
